Tweed Snorkelling & Whale Watching Adventures was front page of The Courier Mail 14th July 2006.
This particular day on the Tweed Heads coast (Gold Coast) was a couple of humpback whales obviously courting and in love, synchronized tail slapping. A few metres apart, they swam lazily, rising briefly to display their lump covered muzzles before arching back into the water. As mist roared from blow holes, it looked as if they’d dived beneath us. For a long minute, the humpback whales vanished. Then , as if out of no where, a whale surfaced 3m off the vessel.
- It was beautiful says Kathy ,of Kirra.
- A humbling experience...
- I get the feeling they are so trusting says Philip Hammond from Courier Mail.
